The Fannin County High School Lady Rebels took their second region win, 56-45, Saturday, December 7, in a battle with Armuchee High School.
Maggie Ledford and Reese Lewis lead the Lady Rebels as Lewis scored 10 points and grabbed 10 rebounds while Ledford scored 16 points.
Trailing 8-2, Armuchee went on a 12-point run to take the lead in the second quarter, but the Lady Rebels answered and made the score 20-18 at halftime.
The Lady Rebels played particularly well in the fourth quarter, outscoring Armuchee 21-14.
Ledford and Avi Ethington each hit multiple three-pointers. As a team, the Lady Rebels controlled the paint, grabbing 30 rebounds. Lewis led the team with 10 rebounds. They also passed the ball well with 10 assists on 19 made baskets. Izzie Jabaley led the team with six assists.
Lady Rebels scorers were Ledford with 16 points, Lewis with 10 points, Emma Buchanan and Jabaley adding 9 points, Ethington with 8 points and Saidee Patton contributing 4 points.
