The Lady Rebels softball team opened their season on their home field Tuesday, August 8, against the Coahulla Creek High School (CCHS) Lady Colts. The Lady Rebels weren’t able to come back after CCHS took an early lead.
During the first inning, the Lady Colts batted first and walked away with three runs. Lone Senior Jayden Bailey started and finished on the pitching mound for Fannin.
After the second and third inning, the Lady Rebels were sitting with zero while the Lady Colts put up five more making the score seven to zero.
The fourth inning saw only one CCHS point after a pop out by Callie Ensley, a strike out by Bailey, and a ground out by Myla Rogers. The Lady Rebels used his momentum to earn three runs. Ensley, Sydney German and Presley Daves all found home plate before three outs.
Three Lady Rebel runs, however, wasn’t enough to top the 11 Lady Colt runs by the end of the sixth, so Fannin took their first loss.
Scoring Summary:
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 - F
CCHS 3 2 3 1 1 1 X - 11
FCHS 0 0 0 3 0 0 X - 3
