The Fannin County High School Lady Rebels volleyball team advanced to the Sweet Sixteen after a hard fought victory over Fellowship Christian Wednesday, October 19.
During the first set, the Lady Rebels lost 25 to 15. They almost closed the gap in the second set by just three points.
The Lady Rebels came to life in the third set only allowing Fellowship Christian 13 points to their 25 to win.
The fourth and fifth set were both nail biters. The Lady Rebels needed both to win the match while Fellowship Christian just needed one. The fourth set came down to the wire, and Fannin pulled out the win by two points.
The fifth and final set was to 15. The score went back and forth as the Sweet Sixteen was on the line. The Lady Rebels were able to reach 15 points for the victory while the opposing team mustered up 12.
The Lady Rebels will host the Sweet Sixteen game Saturday, October 22 against North Cobb Christian School. The game will start at noon and tickets will cost $8 per the Georgia High School Association.
