With an 84-23 victory over Rockmart and a career high 31 points for Courtney Davis, the Fannin County Lady Rebels posted their fourth region win to move up to #1 in Region 7AA.
During the first quarter of the game, Davis led the Lady Rebels with 10 points. Senior Ava Queen added four, Emma Buchanan put in a three and Reigan O’Neal added a basket from the paint for 19 points for the Lady Rebels to Rockmart’s seven.
The second quarter heated up for the Lady Rebels who put in 29 just in the quarter. Davis led the Lady Rebels yet again with 13 points. O’Neal out in a three and a two for five. Queen added another four. Buchanan, Maggie Ledford and Reese Lewis all put in a two for a combined six and Ellie Cook added a free throw.
After the half, the Lady Rebels extended their lead. For the quarter, Davis had five and Queen and Buchanan each had three. Cook, Callie Ensley, Riley Reeves and Addison Smith each had a two.
The fourth and final quarter saw the Lady Rebels secure the win as Avi Ethington put up five point and Ledford had four. Reeves and Davis both put in a shot from behind the three point line for six combined and Queen added another two.
