Copper Basin’s volleyball team went on the road Monday, September 12, looking to keep their hot streak going. The Lady Cougars traveled to Benton to take on the Polk County Lady Wildcats, and not only did they keep their winning ways going, they did it in style, sweeping the hosts in three straight sets.
Copper Basin’s Junior Varsity got the night started out on the right foot, beating Polk in two sets.
In Varsity action, the Lady Cougars smoked the Lady Cats by a score of 25-15, 25-21 and 25-11. Senior Sapporiah Ross led the way with three aces, ten kills, and three tips. Junior Taylee Hall had six kills, while fellow junior Sarah Collis had three aces, one block, and one kill. Senior Makenna Miles finished the night with two aces, three kills, and a block. Senior Destiny Pittman had three aces and junior Nicole Marie chipped in three aces.
