Fannin Lady Rebels honored at softball banquet

    The Lady Rebels softball team held their banquet Tuesday, November 1.

    Many members earned awards.

    Sydney German was awarded as “most improved” for the Lady Rebels. The “spirit” award was given to Kelsey Russel. Zoe Putnam was awarded the Lady Rebels defensive player of the 2022 season, while Callie Ensley earned the 2022 offensive player award. Both Jayden Bailey and Aaleyah Rogers were awarded with the “hustle” plaque. Natalie Herendon earned the “Most Valuable Player” award for the 2022 Lady Rebels.

    The Lady Rebels ended their season with a 6-8 record and are graduating seniors Zoe Putnam and Chelsey Frye.

    Head Coach Morgan Helton said, “Thank you to everyone who came out and supported Fannin County Softball this season. I am extremely proud of our girls and all of the hard work that they have put in. We are looking forward to next year and will appreciate your continued support. Go Rebels!”
