Young football players began getting ready for the 2026 season last week during a football camp at Fannin County High School (FCHS).
Players from grades one through six went through a variety of drills including running, tackling and passing. FCHS coaches and varsity Rebel football players conducted the drills to help ready players for the first day of regular practice July 14.
While players were on the FCHS field for the one-day camp July 8, Rebel Head Coach Chad Cheatham conducted a workshop for recreation league coaches.
The event was hosted by the high school and sponsored by the Fannin County Recreation Department.
The rec league football season opens Saturday, August 16.
