The Fannin County High School Rebels and Lady Rebels cross country teams competed in the Alexander/Asics Invitational at Bouckaert Farm in Fairburn, Georgia, Saturday, October 4, where over 110 teams from all classifications, A through 6A; public and private, competed.
The Lady Rebels varsity team was led by freshman Lola Temples and junior Garin Rickenbacker followed by Sydney Ford, Kensley Pickelsimer, Lana Hicks, and Charlotte Vallejo.
The Rebels varsity team was led by junior Winn Rickenbaker and freshman Jamari Dunn followed by Rylin Davis, Henry Schueneman, Kyler Wilson, Jainil Patel, Gabe Pirkle, and Mitchell Martin.
Based on the times from this meet, both the Rebels and the Lady Rebels cross country teams remain ranked in the top five in the state in classification A Division 1.
The junior varsity girls were led by sophomore Addison Head followed by Claire Saxon and Kylee Bohnert.
The following varsity runners ran their lifetime 5K personal record (PR) at this meet;
•Winn Rickenbaker-16:51;
•Jamari Dunn-16:55,
•Kyler Wilson-18:28,
•Lola Temples-21:26, and,
•Garin Rickenbaker-22:05.
The teams will compete Tuesday, October 21, in the NGXCL 5 Fast Break Challenge at Heritage High School in Ringgold.
