Lindsey Holloway of the Fannin County Rebels Track & Field team has earned a spot at #3 on the Top 12 Spring Sports Athletes Countdown. The announcement was made Saturday morning, June 14.
At the Georgia High School Association 1A Division 1 Track & Field State Championships, Holloway placed fourth in the 3200 meter run with a time of 11:29 and fifth in the 1600 meter run with a time of 5:19. She also ran the first leg for the Lady Rebels State Champion 4x800 meter relay team in a time of 2:26. Holloway was responsible for a total of 19 points at the state championships.
Prior to the GHSA State Championships, Holloway was responsible for 33 points for the Lady Rebels at the 1A Division 1 Region 7 meet. She was the Region Champion in the 3200 meter run with a time of 11:53, the Region Runner-Up in the 1600 meter run with a time of 5:30, and the fourth place finisher in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:29. She also ran the first leg for the Lady Rebels Region Champion 4x800 meter relay team in a time of 2:29.
Holloway placed first in the 1600 meter run at the Walton Invitational against competition from classifications A - 5A with a time of 5:38.
She finished first in the 3200 meter run at the Mountain Top Invitational with a time of 11:59 and first in the 3200 meter run at the Creekview Invitational against competition from classifications A - 5A with a time of 11:40.
Holloway is ranked as the 24th best senior in the 3200 meter and 37th best senior in the 1600 meter run in the entire state (A - 6A). She met the Milesplit Bronze-Level Standard in the 3200 meter run and the 1600 meter run on numerous occasions.
Holloway received the Coaches’ Award for the Fannin County High School Track & Field team this season (Spring 2025) due to her dedication, leadership, and commitment. Holloway is also a finalist for the Fannin County Hall of Fame Female Athlete of the Year for 2024-2025.
