The Fannin County Lady Rebels softball team took a devastating 4-5 loss to the Christian Heritage Lady Lions after a walk-off hit to score.
The Lady Rebels lost despite out-hitting the Lady Lions 10 to eight. Presley Daves, McKinley Lord, and Lana Cook each collected two hits.
The Lady Rebels got on the board in the first inning after Olivia Hill singled, scoring one run.
Fannin added one run in the third. Sydney German grounded out, making the score 2-0.
Christian Heritage took the lead, 4-3, in the bottom of the fourth thanks to two singles.
The Lady Lions committed an error, which helped the Lady Rebels tie the game at four in the top of the seventh.
McKinley Lord stepped into the circle first for Fannin County. The starter gave up eight hits and five runs (one earned) over six and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking three.
The Lady Rebels piled up 10 hits. German and Makayla Stiles each drove in one run, and Myla Rogers stole two bases. The team ran wild, collecting six stolen base, and turned one double play.
