The last toy drive for the 2019 Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots campaign will be held at the INOLA Blue Ridge ice skating rink, Wednesday, December 18, 4 to 10 p.m.
Skaters and those strolling around the village may bring an unwrapped toy with a minimum value of $15 to donate. A pair of Marines will be there to greet folks, said INOLA’s marketing manager Kristy Lindstrom.
The donated toys go to children and families in Fannin County.
This year’s campaign is well underway and is shaping up to being the biggest one yet, said spokesman Dale Greene. Toys for Tots drop off locations include 40 locations across the county.
Greene said families have two ways to request assistance. One is by visiting the Toys for Tots website at toysfortots.org, and the other is by visiting Fannin County Family Connection to fill out a toy request sheet. The deadline to apply for assistance is December 16.
INOLA Blue Ridge is located at 9265 Blue Ridge Drive off of Highway 5 north of Blue Ridge.
