Safe zones slated Oct. 31

Trio of annual events on tap for trick-or-treaters

 

Fannin and Polk County trick-or-treaters have the opportunity to attend one of the three Halloween safe zones offered October 31.

The Halloween safe zone candy walk in McCaysville/Copperhill will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. in McCaysville/Copperhill and will take place rain or shine. Various businesses will be open and handing out candy to the trick-or-treaters who choose to spend the holiday in the twin cities.

The City of Ducktown and its merchants will sponsor a safe zone for children from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Those with questions can call 423-496-3546.

The City of Blue Ridge invite children to wear their Halloween costumes and participate in the annual safe zone candy walk and costume contest in downtown Blue Ridge.

The event will be held 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. from the intersection of East Main and Church streets where the merchants in downtown Blue Ridge provide treats for the multitude of eerie and fantastical critters who visit Blue Ridge for the event.
