The Fannin County Board of Commissioners set the qualifying fees for the 2020 General Election during a meeting Tuesday, January 14.
Each fee, which constitutes 3% of the base annual salary for each office, are as follows:
•Chairman, Board of Commissioners at $1,794.86;
•Post One Commissioner at $180;
•Sheriff at $1,779.86;
•Tax Commissioner at $1,491.65;
•Clerk of Court at $1,491.65;
•Judge of Probate Court at $1,491.65;
•Chief Magistrate Judge at $1,491.65;
•Coroner at $694;
•Board of Education (3 seats) at $144; and,
•County Surveyor at $144.
Qualifying will begin Monday, March 2, at 9 a.m. and will continue through Friday, March 6.
The General Primary and General Non-Partisan elections will be held May 19 with the General Election scheduled for Tuesday, November 3.
