The MasterChef Season 10 TV show contestant hailing from Epworth, Georgia, Noah Sims, reached the top four and made it to the show’s semi-finals in England.
Sims was voted off, narrowly missing a spot in the MasterChef finale, after the judges told him he overcooked his mushroom risotto. A crowd who had gathered for a Noah Night watch party in the downtown Blue Ridge park, expressed their disappointment Sims was chosen to be sent home with an audible cry of disbelief.
However, the crowd quickly rallied and offered a cheer in support of Sims’ culinary journey. The folks had filled rows of chairs to watch the show on a big screen temporarily installed in the park. They wore Noah t-shirts, bandanas and a couple people sported overalls.
Sims said, “This has been an incredible experience to have the community out here in force supporting me.”
Ann Sims, Noah’s mom, echoed the sentiment, “I really appreciate how much support the community has shown. It’s been unwavering. It’s really sweet.”
Of pursuing dreams, Sims advised, “I recommend anyone who wants to chase their dreams to push full throttle and do not have regret. This show was all about ‘Forget yesterday. Move on.’ So, keep persevering and don’t give up.”
Dad, Richard, said with a grin, “We knew he could cook well; we didn’t know he could cook this well.”
