Kick off the Christmas season celebrations with Light Up McCaysville.
The winter wonderland themed event is scheduled for November 29 from 4 to 7 in the center of McCaysville at the Riverwalk Shops.
Children can enjoy hayrides and have photos taken with Christmas characters like Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. The tree lighting will take place at 7 p.m.
Folks can sip on free hot chocolate or coffee and nibble on cookies as they are entertained by the Basin cheerleaders and the Fannin Brass Quintet. Call Project and Event Coordinator Michael Earley at 706-492-4636 for more information.
