The Fannin Regional Hospital (FRH) Auxiliary will hold a service of memory and honor during the annual lighting of their Love Light Tree Tuesday, December 3 at 5 p.m.
The event will take place in the main lobby of Fannin Regional Hospital and Faith Presbyterian Church’s Dr. Jim Simpson will be the guest speaker.
The Auxiliary members sell Love Lights to be placed on the Love Light Tree in front of the hospital every year as a fundraiser benefiting their scholarship program for students planning for careers in the medical field.
“Each year we provide up to three scholarships of $1,000 each for students who have completed at least one year of college level study in a medically-related field,” Auxiliary President Shirley Copeland said. “For 2020, we are adding one scholarship for a Fannin County High School senior interested in pursuing studies in a medical field.”
The Love Lights are used to honor or memorialize loved ones and can be purchased through a $5 donation for one or two names and a $10 donation for up to four names. However, donations in any amount are welcome.
The entry form can be found above. The forms can be submitted at the Auxiliary desk at the hospital or mailed to FRH Auxiliary, 2855 Old Hwy. 5, Blue Ridge, Georgia 30513.
Checks need to be made payable to FRH Auxiliary.
Donors and those being honored will have their name recorded on a poster in the foyer of the hospital.
