Help needed after coach's house destroyed by fire

Donations are being accepted following the loss of Fannin County wrestling coach Chuck Patterson’s home due to a house fire that occurred Monday, December 16.

While all family members made it out of the house safely, Fannin County Fire Chief Larry Thomas said the home is a “total loss” due to smoke, fire and water damage. He also said the American Red Cross has been called in.

The incident occurred near Meadow Creek Way and the fire department was notified at 1:22 a.m.

According to reports, the family lost everything and are in need of the following items:

•Size 8 Boy’s Shirts;

•Size 7 Boy’s Pants;

•Size 3 Boy’s Shoes;

•Size 5T or Size 4/5 Little Boy’s Shirts;

•Size 12 Little Boy’s Shoes;

•XL Women’s Shirts;

•Size 12-14 Women’s Pants;

•Size 8.5 or 9 Women’s Shoes;

• Size XXXL Men’s Shirts;

•Size 42-44 Men’s Pants; and,

•Size 12.5 Men’s Shoes.

Donations can be dropped off at the Harry Norman office in downtown Blue Ridge, which is located at 252 West Main St.
