The Shamblin family has received an additional $1,150 to go towards their goal of adopting 14-year-old Elizabeth from a group home in Colombia, South America.
The total adoption costs are anticipated to be $15,000 and, with the amount mentioned above, they’ve now raised $9,250, which means they still need $5,750 to reach their goal.
According to Nikki Shamblin, they have completed their dossier which consists of all their paperwork, a home study and everything about their family.
“It will take about two to four weeks for all of the approvals, and then we should be able to start getting ready for travel to go get her,” she said.
