Fannin County voters will see a variety of elections during 2020, including the 2020 Presidential Election.
Fannin voters will be able to cast their ballots in the following:
• Presidential Preference Primary - March 24;
• General Primary Election, Nonpartisan General Election, and Special Election - May 19; and
• General Election and Special Election - November 3.
Runoff elections will also take place dependent upon the results of each election.
Fannin County Election Supervisor Mary Ann Conner would like to remind voters that the deadline to register to vote in each election is 30 days prior to the election date.
“Remember there will be Early Voting 21 days prior to the elections 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday with a Saturday voting the second Saturday before the Election 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. when there is a Federal candidate on the ballot,” she said. “Early voting will be held in the Election Office. Please remember to bring your photo ID.”
According to Conner, the election office is currently accepting absentee applications for the Presidential Preference Primary in March and the General Primary/Nonpartisan General Elections in May.
“This is a very exciting year for Georgia with the new voting system being used beginning with the March 24th Presidential Preference Primary,” she said. “We do have one set up in the Election office for the voters to come by and try it.”
Those wishing to check their registration status or request an application for an absentee ballot can call the Election Office at 706-632-7740.
