Fannin County Public Works vehicles are being tracked for $13.95 a month per unit.
“It’s a real good tool,” Public Works Director Zack Ratcliff said.
According to Ratcliff, he is currently monitoring the vehicles activity and has been since the tracking began in late October.
As of November 1, nine vehicles were being tracked.
“Right now, I’ve just got nine on board,” he said. “I’ll see how it goes from there, but nine’s all I got right now.”
When asked why the vehicles were being tracked he said, “It’s a tool to use to keep up with where my trucks are even in storm events, ya know, with dispatching and where they’re at. Nobody goes to the same place, everybody’s got a place to go and I know where they’re at.”
