The third annual Veterans Memorial Golf Tournament will be held this year at Butternut Creek Golf Course just outside of Blairsville. The tourney is planned Saturday, October 23.
The event gets underway at 9:30 a.m. with a shotgun start. This year’s format is a two-person scramble.
There will be numerous prizes and payouts including awards for long drive, putting, and closest to the pin on the par threes.
Lunch and drinks are included in the $150/team ticket price.
Proceeds will go to the Combat Veterans, “Vets Helping Vets,” efforts. Any veteran that is in need of assistance, whether its medical, utilities or general home maintenance, can reach out to the Combat Veterans Association for help.
