The Fannin County Lady Rebels traveled to Calhoun High School Saturday, August 28, to face off in the Calhoun Tournament.
The Lady Rebels played well overall on the day, squaring off against LaFayette, North Cobb Christian, and Wesleyan High Schools.
Fannin County’s first match was against the LaFayette County Ramblers. The Lady Rebels started on a run but ultimately fell to the Ramblers 25-12 in the first set and 25-14 in the second set. After the loss, the Lady Rebels took on the Wesleyan Lady Wolves. Despite great defense from Fannin County, the Lady Rebels fell to the Lady Wolves 25-10 in the first set and 25-16 in the second set.
After the game against Wesleyan, the Lady Rebels quickly prepared for the North Cobb Christian Lady Eagles. Fannin ultimately ended up falling to the Lady Eagles (2-0).
