Sherry Ferguson

Mrs. Sherry Ann Ferguson, age 65, of McCaysville, passed away June 23, 2021, in Canton, Georgia.

She was born in Copperhill, March 14, 1956. Sherry was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She and her husband of 47 years were members of the Hemptown Baptist Church. She enjoyed camping and going on trips to the beach. She also enjoyed sunbathing and listening to the birds while she had her morning coffee. Sherry will be deeply missed. Her mother, Eva Nell Kendall Panter preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Steve Ferguson of the home; son, Jeremy Ferguson; grandson, Adam Ferguson; father, Don Panter; sisters, Shelby (David) Powell and Sandra Sisson; uncle and his wife, Bob and Lisa Kendall; and nieces and nephews, Jennifer Larson, Donald Powell, Joseph Sisson and Ryan Larson.

The family held a graveside memorial service Sunday, June 27, 2021, at 2 p.m. from the Hemptown Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend David Whitener officiating.
