Weekend car show will benefit Fannin food pantry

Fannin County Family Connection, in partnership with Lovin Racing and Circuit World, will hold a car show to benefit the local food pantry this weekend.

“Fannin County Family Connection is continually blessed by our local citizens and business community,” Fannin County Family Connection Executive Director Sherry Morris said. “We are so grateful for the support. Daniel Henderson came to us with idea that is both fun and will raise funds that will help us as we provide for more families than ever during this chaotic time. We hope you join us on Sunday, July 19 to take a look at the beautiful automobiles of our area.”

The event will take place Sunday, June 19, at 2 p.m. at Circuit World in Blue Ridge, which is located at 5425 Appalachian Highway in Blue Ridge.

An $8 donation will be required for any car entered in the show. Spectators will be allowed to enter the event for free.

All proceeds and donations will go directly to Fannin County Family Connection, who recently ended their largest service year ever with over 19,000 individuals served in the food pantry.

“We at Lovin Racing feel it important for our community to have chances like these to recognize the needs of its people and take action, while also having fun doing it,” Daniel Henderson at Lovin Racing said. “We hope to have everything from classics to modern. We have 50 spots ready for pre-registration.”

A rain make-up date is scheduled Sunday, July 26.

Those who would like to pre-register their car for the event can email lovinracing131@gmail.com.
