We Are Polk providing food

We Are Polk County is continuing its efforts to help make sure young and old alike who need food get that food.

Robby Hatcher, one of the volunteers involved in the group, said over 150 bags of groceries were delivered to East Polk County since the effort began a week ago.

Hatcher was at the convenience center in Grassy Creek Saturday morning where he had a van loaded with food to pass out to residents in need.

He said Monday another load of groceries was headed to the East side.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office and Laura Crawford’s Law Office are helping coordinate food deliveries in the Copper Basin area.
