Those who are not currently registered to vote but would like to vote in the January 5 General Election Runoff can still register through December 7.
The runoff will feature two races for US Senate seats, where Republican Kelly Loeffler, the incumbent, will face Democrat Raphael Warnock, and Republican David Perdue, the incumbent, will face Democrat Jon Ossoff.
It will also include a runoff for Public Service Commission District 4, where Republican Lauren Bubba McDonald, Jr., the incumbent, will face Democrat Daniel Blackman.
Early voting will begin statewide Monday, December 14, and will run through January 1.
Those wishing to vote by Absentee Ballot will need to request one by January 1, however, Election Supervisor Mary Ann Conner encourages voters to get their Absentee Ballots early.
Ballots can be requested online at https://ballotrequest.sos.ga.gov using a Georgia Driver’s License or State ID. Ballots can be tracked online at Georgia.ballottrax.net. Voters can also check the status of their absentee ballot through their My Voter Profile on the Georgia Secretary of State’s website at www.sos.ga.gov. They can also call the Election Office at 706-632-7740, and they will check the status.
Absentee Ballots can be mailed or dropped off in the Ballot Box in front of the Fannin County Courthouse. The ballots must arrive by 7 p.m. January 5 in order to be counted.
