St. Luke’s Anglican Church’s annual Christmas Bazaar is coming up and will take place Saturday, December 5.
The event, which is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m, will feature an outdoor Christmas Market under cover in the open air as well as the indoor shopping in the church’s social hall. This year’s event will also allow shoppers to social distance.
Many new items have been added this year created by artisans, craftspeople and floral designers.
Shoppers will find rustic Santas, pine cone ornaments, handcrafted centerpieces in a variety of Christmas and winter themes, gingerbread men, wooden painted snowmen and herb garden markers to name a few.
Many of the traditional handmade gifts will also be available again this year, and two popular raffle prizes will be featured as well.
St. Luke’s Silent Auction will also be available to shoppers.
“Our popular jams, Mountain candy, homemade breads, candy, Kentucky Bourbon Cake and fudge will be offered,” Teresa Wankel, president of the Women of St. Luke’s said. “However, in order to respect everyone’s safety we will not be able to offer our food samples as we have in the past.
“We hope that our two venues, conveniently located next door to each other, will allow our new and old friends to shop safely with us through social distancing and to enjoy this Blue Ridge tradition. We will be following the appropriate protocols for safety based on the December guidelines.”
This annual fundraiser is sponsored by the Women of St. Luke’s and helps support numerous organizations throughout the North Georgia mountains.
St. Luke’s is located at 7 Ewing Street in Blue Ridge, and once there, guests will have access to free parking.
While admission to the event is free, only cash and checks will be accepted when making purchases.
