Fannin County’s Special Olympics athletes and many of their friends got a special treat last week with a sneak preview of the weekend’s rodeo events.
Thanks to the efforts of the Kiwanis Club of Blue Ridge, the rodeo cowboys and cowgirls, and all the sponsors of the annual Kiwanis Club/Mountain Valley Motors Rodeo, the athletes saw barrel racing, bull riding and calf roping.
The rodeo clown with his wonder dog also kept the young athletes entertained, and everyone was treated to lunch following the Friday morning event.
