Fannin County has seen an additional 88 cases of COVID-19 over the last two weeks as of Monday, November 23.
This brings the county’s total up to 949 positive cases since the pandemic began. Twenty-nine of those people who had contracted the virus have died, six probable deaths have been reported and 82 have been hospitalized. One death was retracted from the previous week’s totals.
In comparison, last week the county had seen 907 positive cases total as of Monday, November 16. Thirty people had died, six probable deaths had been reported and 80 had been hospitalized.
Of the Fannin County School System’s 2,900 students, less than 10 have a current COVID-19 status, 33 are quarantined due to exposure at school and 22 are quarantined due to non-school exposure. There are currently 416 students enrolled in online learning that do not attend in-person classes.
Of the 472 system employees, less than 10 have a current COVID-19 status, none are quarantined due to an exposure at school and less than 10 are quarantined due to non-school exposure.
The Georgia Department of Public Health reported that Georgia has seen 406,220 confirmed cases, 8,644 virus related deaths, 571 probable deaths, 34,083 hospitalizations and 6,377 ICU admissions. Of these, 1,827 confirmed cases, 18 deaths and 26 hospitalizations were reported November 23.
In comparison, last week the state had seen 387,930 confirmed cases and 8,471 virus related deaths.
According to the Georgia Geospatial Information Office, the United States has seen 12,306,017 confirmed cases, 256,694 deaths and 4,526,635 recoveries.
