Georgia Mountains Health honored for high standards

The Accountable Care Organization (ACO) which Georgia Mountains Health is a member of recently recognized the medical group for the high standard of care delivered to Medicare patients through its offices.

ACO’s are groups of health care providers who agree to work with Medicare to improve both the quality and the experience patients receive. The ACO is financially accountable for quality, as measured by objective outcomes data and the cost of care for patients with traditional Medicare. The overall objectives are to improve the health of populations and reduce costs.

Georgia Mountains Health scored high in all quality areas and led the way among other members of the ACO. “Our physicians, nurse practitioners and support staff are committed to a high standard of medical outcomes”stated Steven Miracle CEO, “We are proud to be recognized as a leader in delivering quality care for our patients.”

The ACO is made up of health care providers throughout the state of Georgia and provides care to over 5,000 Medicare patients. Anyone with traditional Medicare are eligible to participate, for no cost, through any of the Georgia Mountains Health offices.

Georgia Mountains Health is nationally recognized as a Patient Centered Medical Home.

The non-profit organization has a full time staff that offers primary medical, dental and behavioral health services for families from its offices in Blue Ridge, Chatsworth, Dahlonega, and Ellijay.
