Frog Bog celebrated at West Fannin Elementary

BOG DEDICATED

By Bobbi Pippin

The first and second graders have opened up an exciting new addition to West Fannin Elementary School, the Frog Bog.

Second graders, Autumn Blomeley and Ryley Thomas hosted the grand opening and thanked everyone for their contributions.

This project started last year when the first grade class partnered with local landscape architect, Jeremy Collis to plan and design a pond habitat for frogs, so students have real life experiences caring for and observing  the frogs in their natural habitat.

They students recently released new tadpoles in the Frog Bog to continue learning and caring for native animals.

Several excited students, parents, faculty, and staff, gathered to witness the grand opening and admire the hard work these kids have put into their project.
