    Excited children arrived at Fannin County Public Library to learn about the beauty of fireflies and the importance of keeping them safe.

    University of Georgia Extension’s Becky Griffin hosted their “Fantastic Fireflies” event for all the children who came out.

    The event started with story-time. A book was read to the children that told about keeping fireflies safe with a fun childlike story.

    After story time, Griffin did a firefly stretch with the children. Then, they made origami fireflies which they were able to color and decorate with colored pencils afterwards.

    The children had a blast learning about fireflies and sharing their own knowledge about fireflies as well.
