Feed Fannin could greatly use the support of those willing to donate.
After having to cancel its annual Bowls of Hope fundraiser, which generated $35,400 for Fannin County Family Connection’s food pantry last year, the organization will need the help of the community in order to serve those who really need assistance.
“Although careful planning and the generosity of friends and supporters has enabled Feed Fannin to build up some financial reserves to cover our operations right now,” Chair Ron Ciochon said. “We cannot foresee what the future will bring in terms of the long-term impact of this pandemic.”
He said the group will explore all avenues throughout the year in order to raise funds to keep the food pantry up and running.
“We intend to meet those needs to the best of our ability from existing funds, reserves and incoming donations from our generous supporters,” Ciochon added.
“Feed Fannin is grateful that many Bowls of Hope ticket holders have graciously agreed to donate the cost of their tickets to help mitigate the loss of our major fundraiser in 2020.”
