Fannin County voters have come out in full swing over the past week to cast their ballots early in the 2020 General Election.
Early voting for the November 3, 2020, General Election began Tuesday, October 13, and after wrapping up early voting Saturday, October 17, the Fannin County Elections Office has seen 2,107 early votes cast and 2,348 absentee ballots returned.
Early voting will continue to run through Friday, October 30, and will take place Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Elections Office on the third floor of the Fannin County Courthouse.
Fannin voters will also have a final opportunity to early vote on a Saturday this Saturday, October 24, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Those wishing to vote using an absentee ballot by mail must request the ballot by Friday, October 30.
Applications can also be submitted by visiting the online absentee ballot request portal at www.ballotrequest.sos.ga.gov. Using a Georgia Driver’s License or State ID, voters can also submit an absentee ballot application to https://ballotrequest.sos.ga.gov.
Absentee ballots can now be turned in at the ballot box on the front porch of the Fannin County Courthouse. The box will remain open until 7 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3.
Those wishing to check the status of their absentee ballot can go to their My Voter Profile (MVP) link at www.mvp.sos.ga.gov, where they can enter their information and look under Absentee Ballot Request Information. The Fannin Elections Office can also check absentee ballot statuses at the request of the voter. Ballots can be tracked at https://georgia.ballottrax.net/voter/.
