Students from both Fannin County High School and middle school brought home 12 awards from Technology Students of America (TSA) competition in Athens, Georgia.
The STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) brought together competitors from all over Georgia.
TSA Divisor, Bubba Gibbs said, “The students had an outstanding conference, and I am really proud of their efforts.”
Each student worked hard and left with a sense of accomplishment, and an award to be proud of.
Fannin County High school students bringing home honors were:
•Blake Colley, 5th in Music Production;
•The Chapter team’s ,Alexis Howe, Caitlin O’Mara, Conner Kyle, Fox Sharp, Seth Hughes, and Carnaceo Dixon placed 6th;
•Caitlin O’Mara and Emma Pittman placed 9th in Forensic Science;
•Warren Bowen Placed 10th in the Electric Car Advanced Battery Class;
•Seth Hughes, Carnaceo Dixon, Emma Pittman, Blake Colley, and James Burrell placed 11th on Demand Video;
•Alexis Howe placed 11th in Prepared Presentation and 17th in Technology Essays;
•Conner Kyle and Seth Hughes placed 13th in Technology Problem Solving;
Fannin County Middle School who captured awards were:
•Ashton Carder, Lyla Strange, and Claire Sax placed 5th in Website Design;
•Jordie Hennessey, Karleight-Jayne Stiles, and Claire Saxon placed 6th in Children’s Stories;
•Claire Saxon placed 8th in Cybersecurity;
•Alexa Hawkins, Aric Carder, Ashton Carder, Lyla Strange, Will Hood, and Connor Reddin placed 10th in Chapter Team;
•Jordie Hennessey placed 11th in Cybersecurity;
•Aric Carder, Ashton Carder;
•Will Hood placed 12th in Junior Solar Spring.
