Fannin County has seen an increase of 107 cases of COVID-19 over the last two weeks as of Monday, October 5.
This brings the county’s total up to 713 positive cases since the pandemic began. Twenty-five of those people who had contracted the virus have died, and 59 have been hospitalized.
Of the Fannin County School System’s 2,879 students, three have a current COVID-19 status, none are quarantined due to exposure at school and 17 are quarantined due to non-school exposure.
Of the 472 system employees, none have a current COVID-19 status, and none are quarantined due to an exposure at school or are quarantined due to non-school exposure.
There are 440 students enrolled in online learning who do not attend in-person classes.
The Georgia Department of Public Health reported that Georgia has seen 323,714 confirmed cases, 7,192 virus related deaths, 28,987 hospitalizations and 5,370 ICU admissions. Of these, 806 confirmed cases, 30 deaths and 29 hospitalizations were reported October 5.
According to the Georgia Geospatial Information Office, the United States has seen 7,432,036 confirmed cases and 209,864 deaths.
