Kitchen: Free meals provided
Eema’s Kitchen, a project of The Heaven Help Us Foundation, Inc., has been serving the Blue Ridge community since its first meal Friday, September 15, 2023.
Founded by Mark and Theresa Wollschlager, the private 501(c)(3) charity is run entirely by volunteers. Since its opening, the number of meals served has steadily increased, with an average of 400 to 450 meals provided per month.
Originally serving meals from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Eema’s Kitchen has extended its hours to 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Friday to meet growing demand. The organization provides meals to a diverse group, including the elderly, widows, families, veterans, and others in need.
Eema’s Kitchen is currently seeking financial and in-kind donations, including grocery items, take-out supplies, locally sourced produce and meats, coffee, and tea.
Those interested in donating or volunteering can contact Tessie at 678-314-7388 or email theheavenhelpusfoundation@gmail.com. For more information or to make an online donation, visit www.heavenhelpusfoundation.com.
