Fannin County has seen an increase of 66 cases of COVID-19 over the last two weeks as of Monday, October 19.
This brings the county’s total up to 780 positive cases since the pandemic began. Twenty-eight of those people who had contracted the virus have died, and 68 have been hospitalized.
Of the Fannin County School System’s 2,888 students, less than 10 have a current COVID-19 status, 75 are quarantined due to exposure at school and 10 are quarantined due to non-school exposure.
Of the 472 system employees, less than 10 have a current COVID-19 status, none are quarantined due to an exposure at school and less than 10 are quarantined due to non-school exposure.
There are 430 students enrolled in online learning who do not attend in-person classes.
The Georgia Department of Public Health reported that the state has seen 341,310 confirmed cases, 7,657 virus related deaths, 30,388 hospitalizations and 5,665 ICU admissions. Of these, 766 confirmed cases and 19 deaths were reported October 19.
According to the Georgia Geospatial Information Office, the United States has seen 8,175,173 confirmed cases, 219,799 deaths and 3,234,183 recoveries.
