    Copper Basin High School hosted its 2020 graduation on the school’s football field Friday, June 12.

    “Congratulations guys, you made it,” Principal Tim Kidd said as he opened the ceremony.

    Salutatorian Anna West gave her speech, asking not just her class, but everyone to do their best in life and never take anything for granted. “This may not be how any of us saw our high school graduation playing out, but think I can speak for all of us when I say, I’m thankful for this moment. Never take for granted what you have ahead of you,” West said.

    Next, Valedictorian Regan Holder gave her speech. “My advice to everyone is appreciate the simple things in life, because they matter the most, and don’t let competition steal your joy. Congratulations to the class of 2020, we did it,” Holder said.

    Kidd said the Copper Basin class of 2020 earned $305,000 in scholarships.

    After seniors received their diplomas, fireworks wrapped up the ceremony.
