Beauty and the Beast starts Friday at FCHS

Fannin County High School’s Drama Department has been hard at work for their new spring musical, premiering the first weekend of May.

For their musical, they will be performing the well-known story of Beauty and the Beast.

The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress.

If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed into his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.

So much hard work and dedication has been put into this show and the young men and women are ready to wow the audience.

Everyone is encouraged to come out to the Fannin County High School Performing Arts Center and enjoy the show. The dates and times for performances are as follows:

•May 3 at 7:00 p.m.;

•May 4 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.;

•May 5 at 7:00 p.m.; and,

•May 11 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
