Fannin County Animal Control recently brought free pet vaccinations to the Fannin County community thanks to a grant from Petco Love.
The first vaccine clinic, organized in partnership with Cohutta Animal Clinic, was held Saturday, September 14, at the clinic. The grant stipulated that the vaccines were to be used for community pets, excluding shelter animals.
Dr. Will Patterson from Cohutta Animal Clinic administered free rabies vaccines during the event.
The vaccines provided through the Petco Love grant included the DaPPV vaccine for dogs and the FVRCP vaccine for cats.
Additionally, volunteers from Fannin County Barking Buddies distributed gift bags to attendees during the clinic.
The Cohutta Animal Clinic is located at 24 Lance Street in Blue Ridge, and Fannin County Animal Control is located at 1001 Fannin Industrial Park.
