    North Georgia Technical College Fannin Literacy Action Group (NGTC/FLAG) held an event to honor their tutors who have volunteered their time to help others. Board members and tutors gathered on Thursday, June 13, to enjoy lunch together and reminisce on their time with FLAG.

    North Georgia Technical College Fannin Literacy Action Group NGTC/FLAG is an adult education center dedicated to providing adults with several classes including, English as a second language, computer classes, GED prep, and college prep. The program is held at North Georgia Technical College and supported by Fannin Literacy Action Group.

    FLAG Director Teresa Ross thanked the tutors for the 370 collective hours they have worked to tutor adults in Fannin County. The tutors were also presented with a gift for their dedication.

    Any adults who are interested in taking these free classes can sign up the week of July 15 by calling (706) 946-3524 and leaving a voice message. The location of the learning center in Fannin County is at 71 Overview Drive in Blue Ridge.
