Are you looking for a fur-ever friend to spend the longer days with? Then Fannin County Animal Control is the place to visit.
This past week, 16 dogs were taken in and under animal control care, four dogs were adopted and three dogs were reclaimed by their owners.
Volunteers are welcome to visit, walk and play with dogs at the facility during business hours.
The animal control facility is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
After those hours, officers follow up on community concerns and respond to stray calls.
To reclaim dogs, their owners must show proof of up-to-date rabies vaccination or pay to have them vaccinated.
More information on any of the dogs at the facility is available by giving them a call at 706-632-3845 or visiting www.fannincountyga.com/animal-control/.
Anyone who would like to make donations for improvements to the facility or for the care of the dogs may do so by visiting their website as well.
Animal Control is located at 1001 Fannin Industrial Park in Blue Ridge.
