Fannin County has seen an additional 115 cases of COVID-19 over the last two weeks as of Monday, December 28.
This brings the county’s total up to 1,246 positive cases since the pandemic began. Thirty-five of those people who had contracted the virus have died, seven probable deaths have been reported and 104 people have been hospitalized.
In comparison, last week the county had seen 1,187 positive cases total as of Sunday, December 20. Thirty-four people had died, seven probable deaths had been reported and 98 had been hospitalized.
The Georgia Department of Public Health reported that Georgia has seen 546,859 confirmed cases, 9,719 virus related deaths, 977 probable deaths, 40,952 hospitalizations and 7,247 ICU admissions. Of these, 3,165 confirmed cases, five deaths and 165 hospitalizations were reported December 28.
In comparison, last week the state had seen 509,588 confirmed cases and 9,437 virus related deaths.
According to the Georgia Geospatial Information Office, the United States has seen 19,211,630 confirmed cases and 333,876 deaths. They did not have a current number of recoveries reported at press time.
