Blue Ridge attorney Francis Xavier “Frank” Moore was ordered taken into custody Friday night, September 12, by Senior Superior Court Judge Andy Fuller immediately after a Fannin County jury convicted him on four of five charges.
Moore was found guilty on a felony charge of Terroristic Threats and misdemeanor charges of Public Drunkenness and two counts of Disorderly Conduct. He was found not guilty on a second charge of Terroristic Threats.
The convictions came at the end of a week long trial in Blue Ridge. The jury started deliberations shortly before lunch Friday and returned its verdict at about 8 p.m.
Moore was originally arrested January 8, 2022, by Blue Ridge police officers and charged with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct. He was later indicted on those charges, along with the two counts of Terroristic Threats and another disorderly conduct charge, in December 2022 by a Fannin County Grand Jury.
Moore will remain in custody in the Fannin County Jail until his sentencing hearing Friday, September 19, District Attorney Frank Wood III confirmed Sunday night.
