Food Lion has launched its sixth annual Food Lion Feeds campaign to address childhood food insecurity.
Now through July 15, Food Lion customers will be able to support the cause with the purchase of specially-designed reusable shopping bags for $2. Ten suppliers – including Frito Lay, PepsiCo, Kraft Heinz – will generously match these proceeds, doubling the impact. That’s the equivalent of 40 meals per bag!
Additionally, Food Lion associates will volunteer throughout the campaign at several local feeding partner agencies to help distribute food to neighbors experiencing hunger.
With school out for summer, many children lose access to proper meals. That’s why Food Lion Feeds began its annual Summers Without Hunger campaign back in 2019.
