The construction of the Fannin County Public Library is “right on schedule,” Fannin County Board of Commissioners Chairman Jamie Hensley said Friday.
Ground was broken on the new location this past March and completion is expected in December, Hensley said.
The new library will be located just below Fannin County High School on East First Street in Blue Ridge, where the Board of Education office once stood.
The property is still owned by the Fannin County School System and the two entities have collaborated with the library system to make the new facility possible.
Per their agreement, the library will span 10,000 square feet and design has been agreed on by the Board of Education.
Although there were some water issues that caused delays, Hensley said they have “made up time.”
