Freda Regina Porter Williamson, age 66, of Blue Ridge, passed away Thursday, August 5, 2021.
She was born September 5, 1954, in Griffin, Georgia, to the late William Cullen Porter and Maxine Putman Porter. Freda retired from the Fannin County Health Department as a registered nurse after 27 years of service. She was a member of Colwell Baptist Church.
Survivors are her husband, Gerald Williamson of Blue Ridge; two sons and daughters-in-law, Cody Williamson (Deanna), of Jasper, Georgia, and Brandon Williamson (Katherine) of Kingston, Georgia; grandchildren, Addilyn Williamson, Brody Williamson, Gabriella Williamson and Ava Bruce; and brother, Randy Porter (Sheri Peavler) of Dallas, Georgia.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, August 9, 2021, at 2 p.m. from the Colwell Baptist Church with Rev. Nathan Chancey and Rev. Robby Chastain officiating. Music was by the Tim Nicholson family, Ryan Chastain, Nancy Watkins and Joel Collis.
Interment followed in the church cemetery with Rev. Jerry Banks officiating. Pallbearers were Tim Nicholson, John Chastain, Robbie Harbour, Thomas Graham, Paul Allen, Morris Callihan, Corey Callihan and Rusty Cox. Honorary Pallbearers were Noah Nicholson, Matt Mathis, Charles Fish, Sam Parris and Jeremy Smith.
