    Two Fannin Rebels and the Lady Rebels 4x800 meter relay team shined at the 2A Sectional Regions Saturday, May  8, as they qualified for the state meet.

    Matthew Crowder and Thomas Mercer had exceptional days, with Crowder placing third in the Discus Throw and Mercer placing fourth in the 110 Meter Hurdles. The top eight in each category qualified for the state meet.

    The girls 4x800 Meter Relay Team, consisting of Monica Consentino, Macy Hawkins, Katie Thurman, and Carlee Holloway, placed eighth with a time of 12:09.23, which was enough to advance.

    The boys 4x800 Meter Relay Team placed outside the top eight, with a 12th place finish. Carlee Holloway placed 10th in the Girls 400 Meter Dash, while Monica Cosentino placed ninth in the Girls 800 Meter Run.

    Zechariah Prater placed 12th in the Boys 3200 Meter Run and 10th in the 1600 Meter Run.

    Andre Bivens finished 13th in the Boys Long Jump to cap a successful 2A Sectional Regions for Fannin County.
