Softball opens first, volleyball follows

    The Fannin County Lady Rebels softball team is the first group of athletes to begin regular season play this fall as they travel to Gilmer County Monday, August 5, for their season opener. The first pitch is slated for 5:30 p.m.

    Head coach Morgan Helton is excited for the season as the team features eight returning starters including five seniors.

    Next up, the Lady Rebels volleyball team gets its regular season underway in a match against Gilmer County Tuesday, August 6. The contest is scheduled to get started at 2:57 p.m. at home.

    The opening regular season kickoff for the football Rebels will be August 1 6 at 7:30 p.m. when they travel to Gilmer County.
